“Steeped in history as the oldest purpose-built pub in the South West, this property immediately strikes one as unique, though some aspects require updates. I noticed the blend of period architecture and modern amenities create a distinctive atmosphere, placing guests within steps of Glastonbury's famed Abbey and Tor. For those drawn to historic charm and local culture, it offers a very particular experience.”

The staff helped a lot and were very polite. They really tried to help us. One staff member, Lee, helped with my scooter because I have trouble walking. He locked it in a room for me overnight. the housekeeping lady carried our bags upstairs because the stairs are quite steep. I was thankful.
The room was split by a fire exit hallway. There was no lockable door on either side from the bedroom to the bathroom, so it did not feel very secure. The remote for the tv only worked on some buttons. I wanted subtitles to not disturb other guests since I was awake all night because of a noisy radiator.

The provided water bowls are a nice touch bringing their dogs. The abbey is conveniently located just across the street (so it is very easy to visit).
I waited longer than expected to have my order taken for drinks and food.
